Loo Talk 2 – Restroom Detectors

I remember a restroom I visited that had a means of detecting when someone had used the toilet and left their ‘business’ unattended to. I was told that the sensor works with the closing of the door. Once it senses that the door is closed, it checks the toilet bowl to confirm that it is clean.

I was thinking about this ‘restroom’ business so I decided to look up “Toilet Matters”. The first website I found was quite interesting. It was about a family that agreed to have a sensor installed in their toilet paper pad to collect data on toilet paper usage.

A few questions stand out to me

1.       Will you allow a detector be installed in your restroom at home?

2.       Will you feel comfortable using a restroom with detectors in a public place?

3.       Is it ethical to install detectors in restrooms?

Please share your views and experiences.
